Is brushing dogs teeth once a week good enough?

Posted under canine cooler

I use canine toothpaste and a brush I got from the vet’s office. He suggested a good brush once a week. Sound right? I also clean out his ears with the solution I got there and those circle makeup pads. I never go into his ear with a qtip. never. I just clean out all the gunk. Once a week cool for all this. I’m sure some people never do this. LOL. I do everything else. Nails, baths, ect. I want a clean happy dog. We have been doing great with the training too. If I could just get him to ignore the tennis balls in the back yard and come. LOL. Hes only 9mo old. Awesome dog. I don’t work, so I am with him all day. I take great care.
Thanks all but 1 of you so far. LOL. I’m making my dog a baby. LOL. I love the internet.
First and formost. He only eats Blue Buffalo and holistic treats. No processed crap like milk bone. Freeze dried chicken, and liver. yes. Milk bone no.

Once a week is just fine. Make sure you get to his back teeth. Doing super with your dog, by the way.

Song help from the TV show "The Forgotten". The song playing during opening of ‘Canine John’ episode?

Posted under canine cooler

I’m looking for the name of a song from on an episode of the new Christian Slater TV show "The Forgotten".

During the opening monologue of the episode "Canine John", you see sky and eventually a lake. There’s a really cool song playing with a guitar riff and some lyrics that can’t quite be made out. Does anyone know what song this is?

Thanks

if im right the band is (warpaint) the song is (krimson)……

Why do vegetarians claim its "inhumane" to eat OTHER animals?

Posted under canine supplements

key word there…"other" animals. We ARE animals….we just call ourselves "human" because some person decided that we are too good to be classified as animals.

We have canine teeth which all carnivorous and omnivorous animals have in order to help them chew up meat. So how can they say it’s "inhumane". None of it really makes sense. I’m not trying to have a crack at vegetarians but I really want to understand their logic behind it, if there is any!

I mean the only reason they are relatively healthy just by eating vegetables is because they take take supplements which would not have been available to our ancestors who ate meat!
3SM I see your point, however I think the reason why people think it’s okay to a cat, an octopus, a snake or whatever while others don’t, has a lot to do with their culture and where they come from, which includes accessability. Sure, today we can find whatever our hearts desire in almost every part of the world, but it wasn’t always the case. You couldn’t always find octopii everywhere for example.

People are vegetarian for a number of reasons including health and religion.
Its not true that vegetarians are relatively healthy only because they take supplement pills.
There is no nutritional requirement for a human diet that can not be supplied through a vegetarian one.

I am non judgmental about people’s choice to be a vegetarian or a non vegetarian.
Its a matter of choice.
But why do vegetarians find it "inhumane" ? Perhaps because in their eyes, all animals are the same.
Why do some people think its okay to eat chicken, but not cow. Others think a lamb is alright but not a pig. Some think a cow is meant to be eaten but not a cat. Some like to eat octopus, some snakes. Some eat dogs, others eat worms and insects, some eat zebras and horse meat. Some fancy alligator meat, but not a whale, some think seals should be eaten, but not dolphins………

Each group of people is repulsed by others’ non vegetarian choices and calls it "inhumane".
Its all about mental conditioning.

edit: Thanks for the acknowledgment.
Indeed, mental conditioning comes from cultural inputs too.
Just think about it – seeing someone eat an animal that I don’t causes me to be nauseous. Naturally, it isn’t surprising that someone who doesn’t eat ANY animal finds the sight of any meat disconcerting.
