the local pet stores near me are petland discounts and fish town usa, do you know what theyre rules are?
i dont want money just a trade for some food or another fish for a bunch of mine
I don’t know about those pet stores but I know that pet stores around my house will only buy hard to breed fish and salt water fish. and for a very small amount.
I sold my fish I payed $30 for $5 because he didn’t get along with my other fish. Usually they have to be a mainly fish pet store to want to buy them someplace like petco and petsmart wouldn’t bother.

Reflecting on the post about the dog that was hit by car, I would like to know if anyone has Pet Insurance. This may influence other owners to obtain protection.
What Company did you purchase from?
Did you mainly use it for preventative care or for illness/accidents?
Are the premiums substantial?
Do you get a discount for multiple pets?

Even though I work for a company that offers pet insurance as a benefit, we don’t have insurance for our dogs.
What we do have is a credit card with a $16K+ limit that we keep open to use in case of emergency, including pet emergencies.
I was doing the math of "premiums versus expected usage of benefits" and for the two dogs I couldn’t get it to add up in our favor – the rates my vet charges me are reasonable, and provided the kids stop having medical issues on Sundays and/or at three in the morning (which means we go to the emergency vet, but even they have pretty reasonable rates), the big medical expenses (spay/neuter, getting the grass awns removed) are taken care of already.

ive been searching for a way to lessen the blows of a big vet bill i have 3 ferrets they are all under a year and don’t have have any medical conditions what would be the best?easiest way to go, medical credit card, and insurance policy for each fuzzy, or a medical discount card.
i had insurance for my border collie and felt assured that if anything happend i was covered…….hmmmm, well he came down ill so i called the ins. co. and they told me i had to pay out of pocket up front at the vets and if they approve it then i will be refunded none, some or all. i did not have that kind of money available. i dropped the ins. it is better to sock the money away to use in case of emergencies.
i would go with some vet discount card
